Delectable Love in Coral Gables on Valentine’s Day

Even though Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday, a day many of us stay home for dinner, this year it comes right after Super Bowl weekend. So the time is right to plan to eat out and share a special dinner on February 14, know you have many options, just make sure you have a reservation.

Depending on the experience you’re looking for, your preferred cuisine and your budget, there are many choices to go by, but start planning now as a lot of places will be busy and booked before you get there.

All weekend long from February 11th-14th, enjoy a taste of Spain with a four course prix fixe dinner for two at Bulla Gastrobar on 2500 Ponce de Leon. Enjoy the bistro lights, balcony and dinner that includes a sparkling wine toast!

Some Coral Gables restaurants are going all out to help us lovebirds celebrate. Here are some choices for you: Luca Osteria at 116 Giralda offers a seven-course meal featuring chocolate and truffles in every course plus two glasses of rosé. Costs $298 for two. Tax and tip are extra as they are for all these restaurants.





Tur Kitchen at 259 Giralda suggests a four-course menu that includes octopus, duck magret, filet mignon and more for $190 for two. Price doesn’t include wine, tax, and tip.

Bellmont Spanish Restaurant at 339 Miracle Mile presents a singer and a guitarist outside from 7:30 pm while their four-course menu can be ordered from 5 pm. Costs $150 for two including a bottle of cava. Tax and 20% service charge not included.



Next door, Seasons 52 at 329 Miracle Mile is celebrating what they call Galentine’s Day with their winter menu plus some special cocktails indoors and outdoors. How much you spend is up to you but easy to manage $60 per person with wine, cocktails, tax and tip additional.

Under the beautiful chandeliers or alfresco dining on 366 Miracle Mile, Gustave is a beautiful restaurant to celebrate the day of love. Open only for dinner, the French restaurant will offer a special $65 per person three course menu that includes dessert.

Well-Fed, on 271 Miracle Mile, cozy and intimate has a menu prepared by Chef Tischler of Venezuelan. This Latino Modern Eatery will blow you your taste buds away with two menu options, one being exclusively vegan! Their five course menu includes dessert, a glass of prosecco, coffee and $100 per person.

KAO Sushi and Grill has an awesome happy hour and sushi specials but on Valentines Day couples are being offered a free bottle of prosecco and a choice of a delicious Valentines Day menu.

Looking for a four course Italian dinner? Salumeria 104  117 on Miracle Mile is offering a dreamy dinner for $75 per person and also has their regular menu available. You’ll definitely want to reserve a table here if you love truffle and pasta.



That’s Amore! Amore Restaurant on 94 Miracle Mile has a delicious special on Valentines Day. Indulge in a Lobster Tail served over a creamy Parma rosa pasta with a complimentary glass of wine and dessert for just $39 per person. Also, at 7PM enjoy a live musical performance accompaniment with Latin Grammy Award Winner Edward Ramirez member of world-renowned C4TRIO from Venezuela alongside Natasha Bravo and her mesmerizing voice.

For more fun with your gal pals, visit The Gramercy on Sunday for Galantine’s Day Brunch! Their prix fixe brunch is $65 per person with the add-on of bottomless boozy beverages for $45. Enjoy the morning and afternoon taking pictures with their red teddy bears and dancing to the DJ and live performances!

Finally, Bay 13 at 65 Alhambra Plaza is the place for football fans and lovers and those who are both. You start out on Super Bowl Sunday and tailgate from 2 pm with beer and bites for $55 per person. If you also watch the game, cost is $105 per person. Go home, sleep, and come back on Valentine’s Day for Will You Beer Our Valentine. The three-course meal with a bottle of sparkling wine costs $150 for two, tax and tip extra.

For some romantics, Valentine’s Day isn’t only about good food and drink. We also enjoy a tear-jerking movie, and there’s nothing like Moonstruck, made in 1987 and still one of the best love stories ever filmed, starring Cher and Nicholas Cage. The Coral Gables Art Cinema at 260 Aragon is hosting two showings on Valentine’s Day, at 4:30 and 7:30 pm. Start with the film, then go to eat and drink, and you’ll feel good all over.
