Experience Our Very Own Art Studios on the Mile!

Until the end of December 2020, the Business Improvement District of Coral Gables and the Gables Art Collective will be hosting Studios on the Mile, a project sponsored by Terranova Corporation. The Studio artists, ranging from developed artists to recent art school graduates, are showcasing their work in each of the studios curated by Dr. Carol Damian.  Located in empty storefronts along Miracle Mile, the gallery artists can be found at #200, #204, #214, #216, #257, and #290. Their workspaces will be open to the public from noon to 7 pm every day, working on their various projects.

The artists are implementing a wide variety of methods and materials including painting, drawing, textiles, ceramics, woodworking, and other mediums. Much of the work addresses personal meanings such as human emotions, improvements to the quality of life for people with disabilities, experiences, self-expression, and more.

Studios on the Mile will bring a new experience and perspective to Downtown Coral Gables through the love of art. Not only are the artists showcasing their work, but some are teaching classes as well. In Studio #216 Miracle Mile, you can find pottery classes for people of all ages, taught by James Herring.   These classes are focused on mastering the pottery wheel, skill, and clay, and are adapted for children to pre-teen to adults. Of course, beginners are welcome! The clay, glazes, and firings are all included in the prices. Please click here for more information on the classes.
