Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen Has Everything You’re Craving (and happy hour, too!)

Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen, a restaurant with Chicago roots, chose Coral Gables as it’s outpost for their third Florida location. The Miracle Mile spot has quickly become a favorite for happy hour, healthy lunch and dinner, meet-ups with friends and even delivery, when the craving strikes but you can’t make it out.

Open for lunch and dinner every day of the week, you can enjoy a plate full of Ribs or a Bowl with Market Veggies and Cashews topped with Tofu, a Pepperoni Pizza or an Ahi Tuna Sandwich; that is to say, Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen is a place with something for everyone.

The menu includes plenty of healthy eats. The Black Tiger Shrimp Salad comes with plump prawns that are as fresh as they are filling.

Served with a light avocado vinaigrette, it’s a beautiful dish that is perfect for a power lunch on a hot Miami day. If you’re coming in hungry, there is a serious selection of sandwiches and burgers to choose from including the Carnitas Sandwich, Leo’s Lobster Roll, Cajun Turkey Burger and a West Coast Steak Sandwich. Whatever protein you woke up in the mood for, you’ll be able to find something to satisfy the craving on the Doc B’s menu.

Entrées include Simply Grilled Faroe Island Salmon, Pan Roasted Chicken, Rigatoni with Spicy Italian Sausage and more. If the menu sounds like food you’ve had before, that’s because it is.

Doc B’s has a perfectly crafted menu where your favorite dish is likely listed, made more interesting by their use of elevated ingredients and ultra-fresh produce. For example, that Rigatoni isn’t your run of the mill pasta plate; it’s served with green peas and kale in a traditional Italian “brodo” or broth. The Roasted Heirloom Cauliflower from the “Snack + Start + Share” section of the menu is prepared with kale pesto, golden raisins and macron almonds. Each dish has a surprise ingredient, a pairing that makes it more flavorful and inventive than the way you’ve eaten it before.

This modern bistro doesn’t compromise on style. The interior feels clean and a bit edgy, without feeling uncomfortable or sterile.

Statement, mid-century inspired, lights and large leather booths take up the back of the restaurant, but the first half or so is dedicated to a big bar with a full range of cocktails, craft beer, wine, and even specialty drinks on tap like the Cherry Old Fashioned or Whiskey Smash.

Stand at the bar or grab a high top table while enjoying happy hour where soups, salads, burgers, pizzas, oyster lettuce wraps and spicy crispy chicken sandwiches are just some of the many food deals. Beers start at $4 and well drinks are an unbeatable $3. Go for a craft cocktail, also on special for $7, and try the Crazy Beautiful, with vodka, elderflower, spiced pear and Voveti.

Leave room for dessert, we’ve heard rave reviews about the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cheesecake!

Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen is located at 301 Miracle Mile.
